Your journal lives on your device.
Your entries, saved reflections, and check-ins are stored on your device. Flit does not currently sync your journal to a cloud account. Your device’s backup settings may keep a separate copy.
How AI reflections use your information.
When you request an AI reflection, that day’s notes, labels, check-ins, and reflection preferences are securely sent to our hosting and AI service providers to create it. In the current app implementation, a request may also include up to six relevant earlier check-ins selected from the preceding 14 days, plus a limited summary of recent observations. Your full journal history is not sent. Today’s recap note can be included; historical recap notes remain on your device.
Basic account, device, and usage records help the service manage access and keep it working.
Feedback and the waitlist.
If you send feedback, we receive your message and basic app details to understand and respond to it. Journal entries are not automatically attached.
If you join the waitlist, we store your email and basic signup details with our database provider to contact you about Flit’s availability. The waitlist does not receive your journal.
Limited product analytics, never advertising tracking.
Flit uses PostHog to understand visits, broad traffic sources, Get Flit clicks, and whether waitlist submissions succeed. We send page names and sanitized campaign labels—not full URLs, emails, form contents, advertising identifiers, fingerprint data, or replayed sessions. Flit does not enable advertising pixels, heatmaps, session replay, or automatic page-content capture.
Website analytics uses a random ID that lasts only for the current browser session. It does not connect your website visit to the iPhone app. We respect your browser’s Do Not Track signal.
Our website host and analytics provider may process technical network information, such as an IP address, to deliver and protect their services. See the website host’s privacy policy and PostHog privacy policy.
App usage data.
If Share usage data is on, the iPhone app sends feature events such as onboarding completion, entry creation, timed-pause use, close-out completion, reflection success or fallback, and reflection feedback. These events use a separate random installation ID. Journal or note text, custom label names, reflection content, access codes, emails, food-related freeform content, and feedback messages are never included in analytics.
You can turn Share usage data off in Toolbox. This does not affect Flit’s features.
Your choices and questions.
You can delete entries and turn off usage data in the app. Deleting a local entry does not remove information already sent in a reflection request or feedback.
